About me

Hi, I'm Jenna!

I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker in MA and Licensed Clinical Social Worker in NY that specializes in working with adults and college/graduate students presenting with mental health challenges, trauma, relationship issues, life changes and transitions. I specialize in treating trauma and complex trauma, PTSD, relationship issues, transitions and adjustments, as well as co-occuring disorders including eating disorders, substance use, and medical issues. I help my clients navigate periods of distress and uncertainty and am a partner on their healing journey.

I am trained in EMDR psychotherapy, in addition to a number of therapeutic modalities. My approach to therapy is strengths-based and integrative, so treatment is tailored to meet specific needs through out the process. My style is relational, interactive, warm, direct, and supportive. I enjoy working in partnership with my clients to individualize treatment, establish goals, and support them through out the therapy process. I have experience helping people through crisis, loss, break-ups, estrangement, medical issues, and varying levels of distress. I am very familiar with the many changes and challenges individuals encounter during periods of transition. In my role I help my clients identify their strengths and adaptations, develop new coping strategies to better manage stress, relationships, communication, and heal from trauma to  improve quality of life.

My background is rooted in community mental health. I have experience working in both inpatient and outpatient Behavioral Health settings since obtaining my MSW from Simmons University.  I am a member of the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) and I am President of the Simmons School of Social Work Alumni Board. I am a LGBTQ+ affirming therapist and make the therapy space inclusive and safe for all.

Outside of therapy time I enjoy reading, exercising, going out to eat, and playing with my King Charles Cavalier
